Why Mang Inasal is so “patok” to Pinoy?

Have you heard a restaurant named Mang Inasal? If you’re a Filipino Citizen or Pinoy, of course you do. Mang Inasal is a known restaurant in the Philippines not because of their endorser but all what they offer to their customers.

My RipeConcepts friends want to say Hi.

Mang Inasal can be easily found in any mall in your city but do you think why they expand the business so rapid? Hmm.I also ask that same question as you do.

I ask, Why Mang Inasal is so “patok” to Pinoy?

 – Pinoy love to eat rice during meal. Most of the Pinoy are dependent in eating rice per meal. That’s maybe the reason why we have POSO or “hanging rice” since we can bring them on the go and ready to eat. So, when we will know that restaurant or carenderia offer unlimited rice, we will miss to eat and try what they offer.

– Barbeque is popular among the streets in the Philippines. As I noticed, I noticed that every city has a barbeque vendor in the steeets.

– Cowboy type of eating by hands is patok to middle class pinoy. Don’t know if eating by hand is common in high-class Pinoy but hopefully they do.

From the three list, this might be the answer of the question why Mang Inasal is so “patok” to Pinoy. It’s not common in fast-food chain restaurant that you can eat by hand.No one will look at you and laugh when you eat by hand since it’s common. Of course, wash your hands before you eaf. Plus unlimited rice and grilled pork or chicken. Mang Inasal want us to feel that their restaurant is just like home. Eating by hand with unlimited rice with grilled food. Pinoy na pinoy ang dating.

Do you agree my list Mang Inasal is so patok to Pinoy? Let me know your thought. Do you eat by hand in Mang Inasal or using fork and spoon?

  1. I like Mang Inasal. But sometimes it gets too common for my tastebuds. Totally agree with unli rice though. Filipinos love rice, although it doesn’t apply so much to me because most of the time I only consume 2 cups of rice. 🙂

hahaha.. practice makes perfect.. the more you eat in Mang Inasal.. the more you eat a lot of rice.. na soon,.

  2. Unlike Golden Cowrie, I love how consistent Mang Inasal is. I loooove unli rice but I need to limit my rice intake because I am so fat! Huhuhu

  3. Mang Inasal’s chicken inasal here in Cebu is not as delicious in Bacolod. I don’t know about you guys but one of the best tasting chicken inasal out there is in Bacolod. I could eat 5 cups of rice with just SM1 (with a little help from unli-rice meals from my friends, of course). 🙂

  4. One of my favorite things to eat after an exhausting activity such as playing hours of basketball is Mang Inasal’s chicken + unli rice. Hahaha. Mang Inasal is always a good place to eat if you just want some decent barbeque or if you wanna pig out and eat a ton of rice! Hahaha

  5. I love Mang Inasal, not just with their chicken and pork menus but also their desserts. Pinoy taste kaayo.

  6. I am always a big fan of Many Inasal since then, but there are times that they failed on a quality service, but I always love to go back cause they owned the best grilled chicken in the Philippines.

  7. Hahaha trivia, almost every after our climbs, we go to Mang Inasal and fill our tummies! Hahah! I totally agree with your enlisted reasons. Unli rice indeed!
